Glazed Vitrified Tiles (GVT)

Glazed vitrified tile is a fully vitrified body with a printed and glazed face fired onto it. The body is what gives it a water absorption under 0.5 percent — the IS-15622 Group BIa class — which is why it is the standard indoor floor in a climate with a four-month monsoon; the glaze is what gives it the design range, because anything that can be printed can be put on it. It is also the construction that makes the large formats possible, which is why most of what is listed here is 600 mm and wider.
